Responsible sourcing

Integrity begins at origin.

JFL is committed to building commodity supply chains that respect people, lawful commerce and transparent origin.

Our approach

Risk-based due diligence for every transaction.

Our controls are proportionate to the commodity, origin, supplier, jurisdiction and transaction risk. We seek documentary evidence, investigate material concerns and decline business when risks cannot be acceptably addressed.

Legitimate producers

We seek to transact with identifiable, legally established producers and suppliers that can demonstrate authority to sell and provide appropriate origin, title, licence and permit documentation.

Labour and human rights

We do not knowingly accept commodities produced through child labour, forced labour, trafficking or serious human-rights abuse. Material concerns are escalated and may lead to suspension or rejection.

Responsible minerals

For minerals from conflict-affected or high-risk areas, our review is designed to identify origin and chain-of-custody risks, including direct or indirect support to armed groups, abusive security actors or sanctioned entities.

Counterparty screening

Depending on risk, checks may include legal identity, beneficial ownership, sanctions exposure, political exposure, adverse information, banking details and authority to transact.

Traceability and records

We seek to retain transaction-relevant supplier, origin, inspection, transport and export documentation so that key commercial and compliance decisions remain reviewable.

Escalation and response

Where credible concerns arise, JFL may request further evidence, conduct additional review, require corrective action, suspend engagement or decline the transaction.

This statement describes JFL's responsible-sourcing principles. It is not a certification that every commodity is free from all supply-chain risk. Controls are applied according to available information, applicable law and the circumstances of each transaction.

Raise a sourcing concern.

Suppliers, buyers and other stakeholders may report a material sourcing or supply-chain integrity concern to our compliance team.
